Meet Your Coach, Nique Miller
My name is Nique Miller, and I’m a professional longboarder and stand-up paddle surfer from Honolulu, HI.
I’ve competed on the world stage in both longboarding and SUP, earning recognition as one of the top athletes in the sport. In 2018, I ranked 5th globally in SUP surfing, and in 2023, I became the USA National Champion in SUP surfing as well as the Hawaii State Champion in longboarding.
As a proud Afro-Latina surfer, I’m deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the surfing community—a mission that fuels my passion for the sport and its global reach.
Surfing has taken me around the world, but Central America holds a special place in my heart. I’m thrilled to return to Panama and share this incredible journey with you.
PLAYA ESTERO - A SURF OASIS
For Beginner to Intermediate Surfers
Our surf lessons take place in the warm, inviting waters of Playa Estero—one of Central America’s premier beach breaks for beginner and intermediate surfers.
This relaxed and uncrowded beach features a soft sand bottom, free from hazardous reefs, rocks, and dangerous rips. With its consistent swell, Playa Estero provides the perfect environment for building confidence and honing your skills.
Stretching about 700 meters, the beach offers a variety of sandbars that create waves suited to all levels, depending on the tide and swell size. The best conditions are typically between high and mid-tide, with medium swells of 3–5 feet.
As part of your coaching, surf sessions at Playa Estero are filmed from the shore and reviewed daily with Nique, ensuring tailored feedback to help you progress.

DAILY PERSONALIZED Surf COACHING WITH NIQUE
Geared for beginners to intermediate surfers, with daily coaching at our safe and uncrowded beach break, Playa Estero. Each surf session is around 2-3 hours. Your board, leash, wax, long-sleeved rash guard and shuttle transport to and from the beach (3min away) is included. Your sessions will be supported by our Waluaa ISA certified instructors to deliver a safe, professional and effective surfing experience.

GROUP Transfers to and from Panama City
We’ll have 2 departures on the retreat start date - 8.30am and 12.30pm from Panama City. If you cannot make either of the 2 departure times, please reach out to us and we help you with an alternative travel plan. For the return shuttle, we’ll have you back in Panama City around 3pm on your final retreat day. We can return you to the airport if you have an evening flight home or to your hotel in Panama City. Deposit & Balance
A $500 non-refundable deposit per person is required to reserve your spot.
The remaining balance is due in full 60 days before your trip start date. You’re welcome to make installments at your convenience.
Cancellations
For cancellations made more than 45 days prior to your retreat start date, your payment is refundable, less the $500 deposit.
For cancellations made less than 45 days prior, the full payment is non-refundable. However, if we are able to fill your spot, we’ll refund your payment in full, less the $500 deposit.
Please note that cancellations with less than 45 days’ notice make it challenging for us to fill your space. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to safeguard your investment in case unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, prevent you from traveling. Thank you for your understanding!
